Alloys Procurement

Alloys, metals, auxiliaries and aggregates for the steelworks of our parent companies are procured on international markets and require compliance with the specifications required by us, as these have a direct influence on the steel grade to be produced.

In total, around 450,000 tonnes of alloys, metals, auxiliary materials and aggregates are procured in the form of spot and long-term framework agreements with producers and traders worldwide.
For the tenders, we exclusively use the Metalshub platform, on which our requirements are publicly tendered.

We work with our business partners on a long-term partnership basis.
Scrap is supplied by our affiliated company, Metallurgische Gesellschaft Saar GmbH (MGS), Völklingen.
